Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

The reason I went with the Moby D instead of the Ultimate Baby Wrap or the Joey Wrap, which is also the same idea, is the woven panel in the front. A regular Moby is just like the other wraps. The woven panel on the Moby D helps keep the baby tight against your body. Otherwise as the baby gets bigger, the stretchy fabric will sag and the baby will get lower and lower. Still very secure, but not as comfortable.

Yes, this is exactly the problem I have. The extra give makes it wonderful for a newborn and younger baby - snuggly, and easy for popping the baby in and out - but it will start to sag as they grow. My petite 17lb one year old is OK in a front carry (with occasional tweaking), but the stretch means back carries don't work. Also even front carries would be difficult with a large baby.

Kathryn, I have a very petite (19lb) 14 month old and I carry in the back cross wrap carry on my back all the time, for hours even, with no sagging. Are you using a rucksack carry or a bwcc? That could make all the difference. Also, where you tie it makes a difference, around the waist it lower so it will sag more. Come back through your shoulder straps after you cross under her bum, then tie under her bum, kwim? If you are confused, I can post photo instructions, just let me know.

I just spent four days with a 21 pound baby strapped to me in a Parenting Concepts sling. She's almost nine months old and she weighs 20 pounds. I'm 5'2".
She's an active baby but she was really pretty content. I've used this sling with all my babies--big ones, little ones, gigantic-off-the-chart ones. This brand of ring sling works best for me because it comes in petite--so the length is right. You can also get it in tall or extra tall. It's simple and it lasts forever...

Oh please! I think I was using the muddled back carry . Also my wrap was too short for one of the carries I tried, so that may be a problem. Seeing pictures would definitely help.

My Ergo is amazing. And my dh loves it too. He always hated any kind of sling, but he loves to use the Ergo. When we hike, he won't let me carry baby.
