Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Chari,
Lyme disease is notoriously difficult to pin down, and many doctors pooh pooh it, but it is a real, and can be debilitating, problem. One of my friends went thru all the tests you mentioned---at the Mayo Clinic, no less--and got "all clear" neurologically and rheumatologically. No one could figure out what the problem was. It took years for the pundits to decide she had Lyme Disease Many of the symptoms you describe sound suspiciously like Lyme. The good news is that courses of inexpensive antibiotics, like Tetracycline, can really help in newer cases. Just to be on the safe side, you might see if you have a local Lyme disease chapter and talk with them. It can't hurt.

Just my 2cents worth!

PS I'm sure my friend would be glad to talk to you, too, if you wanted more information. She is very involved with Lyme activism and awareness. Feel free to email me off-line if you want, kkuerstein@aol.com.

Praying for you, Chari. Hope the root canal is going "well." Continued prayers for Anne too. Glad to hear she is feeling better.

Hey, all........just thought I would renew our prayer request for Anne.........

We just spent five weeks traveling and one week at home with her......but last Friday she returned to the Bay Area (near SF, CA) for more treatment. She really has seemed more improved.......has even played the piano a bit each day and knitted a pair of socks. She says it still hurts.....but at least now does not get worse with the above-mentioned activities.

She has a ride home the Friday after Thanksgiving.......PLEASE PRAY SHE IS WELL ENOUGH TO STAY HOME FOR GOOD! If she is not......she will have to return to the Bay Area that Sunday.

It feels like she has been gone all year.....it was very hard to let her go on Friday.....usually I can take things in stride....but this was hard. You know, one of those wonderings if this is the last time you will see your daughter.......yeah, morbid, I know....but still, it was a real feeling.

Please also pray for her future vocation........at age 17 yrs....she is thinking about the future.

Thanks for all of your prayers.......you are all in mine......

......cold and rainy......

Chari,
For the past couple of days I've been feeling that Anne might need special prayers.   I've learned those intuitions usually mean something! I prayed for her at Saint Anne's chapel, at San Joaquin High School, where Sean had his last playoff game, and have been thinking of her often. She has been so brave for so long!

Chari,
I'll be praying for Anne.
Any answers to prayer in these areas?
My husband’s return to the Sacraments
A Return to a successful school schedule.
Sarah's reading   issues
For dh to understand that a position (part time) as a labor and delivery RN is not a good thing for the family.

Where is the Circle Letter anyway?
I thought it would have come around at least 5 times by now!

Praying here as well, Chari. Will Anne be away for Thanksgiving? Hoping she finds relief soon!

I say: you are so sweet..............thank you for giving into that inspiration.

She says: Willa is SO sweet :)

She SO needed prayers this weekend.

Thank you, Laura!

Only the part about the job position is resolved........he GOT IT.........and so that trial has passed.....though I think he still harbors a secret hope I will get a position

But..........the other prayer needs are still at the top of the priority list! In fact.........Garrett can use some reading prayers, too.......as long as I am here.

Did you copy all of that from the circle letter?

You are very generous to inquire after my prayer requests. I will add your intentions to my prayers......as your reward!

as for the Circle letter.......I am not currently active on FOG anymore........but, if YOU are, send a post to the list and see who had it last......maybe they need a fire lit

God bless you,

Thank you, Angie, Gwen, Leonie, KC, Laura, Stef, Karen, Alice, Willa and Erica!

WOW........what an amazing group I have listed here............some of you I have "known" online for SO long......I am not even sure when I "met" you......well...........except for Willa and Erica.....I am sure about them!

I feel like we just keep taking turns praying for each other........what an incredible privilege! And gift!

We are SO blessed!

Do we really have to wait til we are in heaven to meet in person??? (again.........exclude willa and erica )

anyway...........back to our topic......Anne is SO homesick...........she actually called me at midnight last night!! And, she started having spasms in her back.......which is new.........

She was doing much better when I sent her down there.......I hate that she is feeling worse.

The whole family misses her.........they all keep asking for her........this is different than the first time........we just took it in stride.

I am concerned that her homesickness will be too negative of a feeling and interfere with her healing.......so please pray she can find some joy.

Blessings on all of you!!

Love,

Update on Chari's daughter Anne (Chari is at her grandma's house and the computer there doesn't like her to post : (:

Anne is physically feeling better now, but still very homesick indeed. In Chari's words: "she says she is getting better......but she is SO homesick....so, so, so homesick."

Poor Anne! Anne is NOT a complainer so it must really be hard for her .

Also, she asks us to pray for a Catholic hsing mom of several there in SF who is having a difficult time at the end of her pregnancy.... her name is Gloria.

I found this prayer written by St John Bosco that seems to apply:

Most Holy Virgin Mary, Help of Christian,
how sweet it is to come to your feet
imploring your perpetual help.
If earthly mothers cease not to remember their children,
how can you, the most loving of all mothers forget me?
Grant then to me, I implore you,
your perpetual help in all my necessities,
in every sorrow, and especially in all my temptations.
I ask for your unceasing help for all who are now suffering.
Help the weak, cure the sick, convert sinners.
Grant through your intercessions many vocations to the religious life.
Obtain for us, O Mary, Help of Christians,
that having invoked you on earth we may love and eternally thank you in heaven.
