Praying for Johnny and his family, Ruth.
God HAS a reason. When I asked my father in law years ago, how he coped with his son dying (of CF) at 13....he said something like: "Well, I know deep in my heart that it HAD to be the right thing....the merciful thing.....after all: maybe he would have committed a grave sin or lost his soul and this way he is dying young, with his (relative) innocence....and of course, he is at peace and his suffering is over, and I believe: he is SAFE with God....."

Yes this is very, very sad and will be very hard for this family. It's amazing when we are in crisis though how much the Lord holds us up if we let him. A cross such as this can only make you stronger. My prayers are with this family and especially Johnny. I will pray to my Johnny for him, he's in a good place to ask.
May Mary give you her arms to solidly wrap them around you, Johnny.

Yes, he's at Children's Hospital. I hope to take the kids sometime this week. His mom told me he's very sick, after only 2 days of chemo, so I'll have to call in the morning. He's such a good boy.

Johnny is still in our prayers, what a sad update. I am praying that he will be able to eat and put on weight to fight this cancer...

Everytime someone names their son John my Mom always says,"The apostle Jesus loved." I know Jesus is holding this family close to Him through all of this.
We are and will be praying.
