Well, I am now 10 days "overdue". My dr's appt went well yesterday. The baby still looks strong and I am doing well. They scheduled me for an induction for Fri at 7:30am. I had to hold back the tears talking to the dr about it. I know this baby will come in God's time but I really don't want the induction  I haven't had much in terms of contractions the last 24hrs or so. So, please continue to pray. Thankfully, I am comfortable and my dh is home otherwise I would really be going out of my mind.

Hang in there Beth...won't be long and you'll be snuggling your little one and this will be a memory. I've been through 2 inductions - one that saved my son's life (the cord was wrapped around his neck and we didn't know it - just knew his heart rate had started going down a little.) Labor went fine, and honestly, my body took off on its own with the "jump start." I'll keep praying - you go take a long walk maybe  drink lots of water!

Continuing to pray for you, Beth. My dh's former boss says his wife went into labor with each of their 3 kids shortly after eating pizza. FWIW.

Beth, I was extremely anxious when I was induced in September. I just prayed and then tried very hard to believe that it was all in His hands. It was a beautiful birth and I felt great peace through every moment of the day. I will ask the Lord to do the same for you.

Praying for you. This waiting and looking at the possibility of induction is a very emotional and stressful time. Praying that you can be at peace and that your labor starts on its own before Friday.

I have never wanted inductions, but have ended up with 3 out of 4 being induced. Praying that all goes beautifully and that you will have peace.

I was induced with my 3rd and 4th and I didn't want to be induced by any means!!!
But I was overdue with big babies...

I was induced with my daughter, and I too was so daunted with the prospect of it. But truly, the birth went perfectly fine and, as you know, holding your baby in your arms soon erases all that came before...praying you'll find peace, no matter what avenue your labor takes.

I too was induced...but I started labor after about 45 mins after softening my cervix. and I went on to have a fast, all natural labor and healthy baby girl.

Well, I am still here. The induction is tomorrow at 7:30am. I really wanted to go into labor on my own, but it seems that is not in God's plan. I am hoping for a fast and relatively intervention free induction. Dh will be there along with Mary Ann (momtomany), so I have some great labor support  . I will post hopefully on Sat after we get home with pics! It is hard to believe that we will finally get to meet this baby. I feel like I have been pregnant so long that I don't feel pg anymore...this is just the norm! Thanks for all of your prayers!

Beth, I've been praying about you and thinking about you and unable to get to the computer much! I will pray that whatever happens, it all goes super smooth! It sounds like your body is ready, so maybe just a little nudge from the pitocin, (which they can shut down) and you'll get going on your own. I'm continuing to pray and happily looking forward to the birth announcement!
