I have been reluctant to post as so many other pg moms on this board have such bigger issues. Please know that I am praying for all of you.
So here I sit, 41wks pg. I really thought that I would have gone into labor, had our baby, and be home relaxing enjoying the new baby. My mom came out on the 29th in order to be here for the birth and to take care of our 2.5yo dd. Well, she has to leave tomorrow and the pregnancy has no end in sight. I went to the dr today and am only about 2cm dialated and not at all effaced. My cervix is very soft though. And the really good news is that the baby looks great and I have ample fluid (which is an issue because I have a 2 vessel cord).
So, I really want to go into labor within the next 24 hrs before my mom leaves, but I realize that God is totally in charge and I really want this baby to be born on His time.
I am asking for prayers for the safety of the baby and myself through labor and delivery. Also, I would ask that you pray that I give this over to God and accept that the baby will come on His time. Also, for my peace of mind regarding our dd, who will now be taken care of by friends instead of my mom. She is most comfortable with my mom and I worry how she will be with someone else at a time that she will recognize as a bit stressful. She has been so patient and good throughout this whole pregnancy even though she has known about it for nearly 9 months (I got my pos on 9/18 and we told her right away).

Thank you for all your prayers. I know they are a big part of the peace that I am feeling. My mom is now gone  She was here for 12 days and didn't get to meet the baby. It was really nice for our dd to have so much time with her, though. I also found out that she will probably be in Baltimore (which is only 3 hrs from us) the first part of July so I am hoping we can go down so she can meet the baby. Also, I have spoken to dd's godparents and they are thrilled to be able to watch dd when the time comes.

I go in at 8am to have basically a regular appt (for me that is, nst and afi) and to discuss things with the dr. He will schedule me for an induction for Fri, but pray that I will not need it. I have had 3 nights of prodromal labor, but God is good and I have been able to get sleep and not get discouraged even though some of the contractions have been a little strong. I had some bloody show last night so hopefully we are getting close.
Thanks again for your prayers, I know they are helping.
