My son, Finnian, will be having surgery on Friday to repair a hernia. I had the same surgery last year and my husband the year before, so it seems to run in the family. Of course, I'm much more nervous/worried/scared/concerned for his surgery than I was for my own. They tell us it's a very simple, common operation, but still...
Your prayers would be appreciated.

Praying for Finnian! Several board members or their loved ones will be having surgery on Friday...all will be wrapped in a huge collective prayer!

Thank you all for the prayers. I wanted to add another intention to this, too.
I am having a very hard time with a s-i-l who has refused to babysit for us on the day of the surgery.  I tried to post about this in the Fireside Chat, but it was just too long and whiny, so I deleted it. But I really do need some prayers. I'm feeling so stressed out. Thank you!

Oh Jane - that does add to the stress level. I know it's hard right now, but trust. I'm storming the heavens that God will take care of all the practicals for you, and that little Finnian will recover quickly from his surgery. God Bless you!

We just found out the time of Finnian's surgery. It will be at 8:30 AM. We will be taking the other boys with us, and my dh will drop Finnian and I off at the hospital and take the other guys out somewhere around town (since the hospital is an hour away from our house and my dh wants to near us.)

I'll update as soon as I can.
