Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Thank you, everyone, for praying for me yesterday. In spite of the fact that as I sat down to read to the little ones yesterday morning and realized they were all three covered in RASHES, yesterday was a much better day . We ended up ditching our routine to go to the doctor, where I found out that the babies both had STREP. No fevers, no runny noses, no nothing that would have clued me into the fact that they were actually sick with strep (of all things). The doctor also felt that the rash was unrelated and probably a reaction to the sunscreen I'd been using, since my 4 yo tested negative for strep but still had the rash. I guess it's weird to be thankful for a rash, but how else would I have known to bring the babies to the doctor?

I also managed to get to a Mom's Night Out last night with a local Catholic homeschooling group. Because it is a long drive we don't do too much with part of this group, but it is always nice to have dinner with these women because so many of them have large families. (And even if they didn't, they're nice people.) So that was good.

Andy (dh) is going in for some more tests this morning, so if you could continue to remember him (and the babies) in your prayers, I would appreciate it.

(PS Cay, I had to laugh about "scattering picture books". You're right; the twins would be great at it!      )
