Lots of joyful obedience in the laundry room at my house...

I just picked up about six of those wheeled plastic baskets from Target. The kids LOVE them! They call them their "cars!" My dh wants to put numbers on the sides of them (like race cars...so silly). Anyway, I'm getting carried away...

Every morning the laundry helper gleefully "drives his car" (the medium-sized basket on wheels) into each room to collect dirty laundry. He then drives it into the laundry room where he sorts it into two giant laundry baskets (no wheels) which sit next to the washer.

The wheeled-baskets are then empty, sitting under my folding table which is beside the dryer, ready to hold washed and dried laundry until it's ready to be folded. When I finish folding I just call for everyone to help put laundry away and the "drivers" come a-runnin'!!! (Often returning to ask for more laundry to deliver! )

I don't know how long the plastic wheeled baskets from Target will last, but they're such a big hit, I think I'll just go get new ones as needed because laundry has never been so much fun for them and never so easy for me.
