We are awaiting an important decision on dh's school's future today. It will probably be closed which would be terrible for many of the students who will be facing even longer bus rides morning and night. It won't be so great for us either as we like living here, dh enjoys teaching here, and I really don't want to move to a place where we don't know anybody again. Also, as our newest child is due to arrive in mid September, dh will be under a heck of a lot of stress should he be teaching at a new school.

Anyway, today will probably be full of anxiety for me. I'd appreciate any and all prayers.

Well, no surprise, the school board has decided to close dh's school (the vote was 6-4). Today, the director is supposed to show up and talk to the teachers about their future employment with the division.

Dh had requested to be moved to a school close to here where he knows there'll be an opening (he was given a head's up by the science teacher there last summer). I'm really hoping they'll offer it to him. Worst case scenario, they'll declare him redundant and he'll be looking elsewhere for work.

Dh is quite upset, this was the fourth school he'd taught at and the best to work in, by far. I'm not sure he'll want to continue teaching if he has to work at the same type of schools he's worked at in the past.

Continued prayers are very welcome.
