I am praying for you, Rachel! You sound very composed and ready to meet your twins face to face. May you all be wrapped in peace and joy!

Found out today that it will be Tuesday sometime. They'd do it on Monday, except that the hospital I will be going to doesn't have any open induction beds for that day. So, I get to be admitted on Monday sometime (after 11 am, when I have another apptmt with the dr), then get induced on Tuesday.
My mom and dad were coming up this weekend, but since the induction will be on Tuesday, and dad has to be back at work, mom is coming up on her own, and staying for a while...not sure how long. She and dad will come up in another couple of weeks to help get stuff done around here--this weekend won't see alot of the needed action taken care of....unfortunately.
But I had another NST/BPP today, and everyone looks good. I'm losing weight though, in spite of eating MORE, so who knows what is going on.
I've started taking more of my alfalfa tablets, as well as the EPO and drinking the RRL tea like it's water, lol. Hopefully these fellows won't have a difficult time, and will just practically fall out on their own. Esp since they are going to give me an epidural..and I won't be able to labor too well while laying around in what amounts to an OR. I told the dr about my previous labors (dd#2 took 2 1/2 hrs from the time I got to the hospital at 8cm, dd#3 took 4 hrs--got there at 8cm too)....with these two being smaller, and with my pelvis having been "proven" and put thru the course a couple of times already, he has high hopes for not needing to do a csection....but just in case, they'll want to do an epidural (I asked him to hold off as long as possible)....so that they don't have to do general anesthesia in case of an emergency...
Anyway, if you ladies could continue the prayers, I would reallllllly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Rachel

Rachel.......at our hospital, the CRNA's sometimes put the epidural in early in labor, but do not turn it on until later...(only on rare occasions when they will be in a long surgical case and cannot get to the patient when she actually needs it).....seems to me you could request the same thing.......just have it in place, but not do anything with it unless it is needed.
Lots of blessings and prayers for you!

I suggested that...I don't know whether he will go for having it in place and turning it on when needed. His main concern was for baby #2, and if the head gets stuck, they won't have time to just wait for the epi to take effect, iykwim. They'd knock me out with general if it wasn't on at that point.
Frankly, I really disliked the epidural. Had one, didn't like it. Much preferred the natural delivery I had with my almost 9lber...
Oh well.
Rachel

Also, St. Scholastica and Benedict, who are twins, please interecede for us.
Wear a blessed St. Benedict medal. In addition to him being a twin the medal promises help for women in childbirth. I wore one, even during a c-section. They tried to get me to take it off and I said no.

Wow, Rachel! Just seeing this now. Away for a few days due to computer troubles, and the world just goes on....
Praying for you and your sweet boys; will pray double-time (sorry, bad pun) on Tuesday.
Peace,
Nancy
