We are STILL WAITING for grant funds awarded to us after Katrina. It is crunch time now, with a move (and trying to buy a house) and an adoption all coming up in the next 2-4 months.
We are approved for the award. We just need the new homeowners of our Mississippi house to sign a covenant that requires all future homeowners of that house to carry flood insurance. The new homeowners have flood insurance. But they are not signing this paperwork. They said they are willing, but it just doesn't seem important enough to them to get it done in a timely fashion. They've been sitting on this form since April 2nd. They don't return calls or emails. I am so stressed about this whole thing. Not receiving these funds and paying
off lingering debts will impact our ability to get a mortgage. Plus I want to put this ENTIRE THING behind me.
So, please pray specifically:
1.New homeowners will sign and return the paperwork this week
2. We will have check in hand by May 18th (when I leave for CO to house hunt)
I'm always afraid to give God a time-line, but right now I'm clinging to these verses:
"You have not, because you ask not."James 4:2 and
"Ask, and it shall be given you." Matthew 7:7
Any suggestion on novenas, etc. that I could pray to help with these intentions?
Please pray, and thank you in advance. I have faith that God will answer our prayers.

It's ridiculous to make people wait so long for funding...

An update:
Still no positive response from the homeowners. But I am feeling so much better about the whole situation-no stress and anxiety. I actually made it through the entire day today without calling dh to see if he had heard anything or going to the fedex site to see if they mailed the forms off.
Thank you for your prayers. Please keep them coming. God is in control, and I have faith that this paperwork will be signed.

Nick is leaving for Mississippi tommorow to (hopefully) obtain the needed signatures. Please pray for safe travel for him, and that these signatures will be forthcoming. I'm going to be pestering St. Joseph pretty much continually the next 24 hours!
