Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Wow, nice job Janet. I was trying to remember to come back here and answer Lisa's questions-but forgot.
We decided to do Singapore and I am glad. I like the way things are taught. While it doesn't seem to cover a lot in the way of different concepts, the kids are so well versed in the things they do learn. It had been a refreshing math journey for us through 2A and we will be starting 2B tomorrow. I find while ds still does not like math there are different ways to do things and he enjoys that it isn't drill, drill, drill. Just as an aside we are doing this with Shiller Math but had to put Shiller aside awhile while we boned up on some math facts. Ds LOVES Shiller and still asks for it.

Thank you so much Janet for taking the time to pass on all that great information. I really appreciate it! These forums are always so helpful because of ladies like you all!

So many people have said good things about Singapore that I think we will give it a try next year (2nd grade). My son has been such a trooper with MCP K and A that SM will be a nice change for him; at least the 2nd grade SM material (actually, we'll probably start with 1B) looks a lot more lively! And we probably will get a couple of the extra workbooks for more practice.

After more searching I found the scope and sequence info on Singapore's website (you can't 'search' for it, you have to go through their FAQ page and scroll down to 'Sales Support and Services'). When I compare this to MCP B table of contents, it seems that Singapore actually covers more. So I think we're good to go.

Thanks again.
