Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Thank you all so much for all the prayers. I am home now. The contractions are under control with medication (which works however horrid it is!) - and the good news is that even though I was contracting every 2 minutes, there has been no effect on my cervix - so although I have "preterm contractions" I am not in "preterm labor". I am not even on bedrest which is such a blessing. The baby is doing great. I just have to rest whenever the contractions are that bad - and take the medication when needed.

I am so grateful for all of you - I wish you all a Blessed Easter.

Hi Marilyn,

That same exact thing happened with me during my second...I kept having contractions starting at 22 weeks, they put me on terbutaline, then I ended up on mag at some point, came off of the terbutaline at 36 weeks, only to be induced at 39 weeks(BP went up a tiny bit, and she said, let's get this done!! ...my cervix never changed as well...I am glad they made the distinction between preterm labor, and preterm contractions.....12 years ago they treated all contractions like labor...

Praying for you, baby and the whole family!!!

So glad you and Michael Joseph are well! I have to go on terb with every pregnancy, the stuff is not fun but it works! Glad your cervix is unchanged, and no bedrest, what a relief! God is good!

Prayers for your continued health and Michael' s also, of course.

Deo Gratias! I had that happen with my son, Jack - at 26 weeks. My husband was across the country on a 4 month training course with the Air Force. I was in and out of the hospital until the end, taking Terb.

Yukky! Hang in their Marilyn! Prayers still on the way for you.
