Hi everyone,
I received an update from Trey's father. Please continue to storm heaven for Trey and his family as they battle this cancer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers! The update is below:
-----
Some of you know of Trey’s condition. Others have no idea of what is going on with him, so I will just give simple summary of the situation.
Trey has Neural- Blastoma. It is a very rapid growing and somewhat rare form of cancer that typically strikes children. He has a large tumor in his abdomen, and other tumors within his chest cavity along his spinal column. It also resides in his bone marrow.
We noticed last Monday that his color was bad and scheduled a Dr. visit. His blood revealed something tests was seriously wrong. Since Friday, he has been in the hospital and undergone all of the necessary tests for us to be where we are today….
Trey will begin having Chemo therapy tomorrow or Friday. That will require about 5 more days in the hospital. He will then be able to go home for about three weeks while his white blood count recovers. The treatments will be very aggressive and the Chemo will be terribly strong. There are serious potential side effects, and we must pray that his body can handle the treatments. If there are complications, the Dr.s can modify the program as needed.
This treatment program will have to be repeated to one degree or another for 5 cycles over a period of 15-20 weeks. There may need to be surgeries and there certainly will be radiation at various stages of the treatment. After the complete Chemo program, the Doctors will give him a bone marrow transplant with good cells that will be harvested at various stages of the process. It seems likely he will lose a kidney, as the largest tumor appears on the adrenal gland at the top of the kidney.
This is hard, and we ask for your prayers for Trey. Stacy’s sister Gina is here taking care of Morgan & Jordan while Stacy stays at the hospital 24-7. The home- school group has been bringing by meals and making it possible for us to concentrate all of our attention to Trey and the decisions we face.
I have not included everyone on this message, because I don’t store all personal contact in my Outlook.. Please do forward this message to anyone you know that is concerned. As soon as we can, we will open website so we can post a journal for updates. Thanks to everyone for offering to help in so many ways. We won’t hesitate to ask if the need arises. So many folks are already helping in many ways and this is allowing us to make the decisions we need to make.
Pray hard. We will try to keep you all apprised as Trey goes through this trial.

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Thank you all for your prayers for Trey and his family. Things are getting hard. Trey is most likely beginning his 4th round of chemo this week-end (out of five rounds total) and his blood counts have not been strong enough to harvest stem cells that he will need for bone marrow transplants at the very end of his fifth chemo treatment. His parents are suffering and sooo tired. Little Trey is obviously fighting for his life with all his strength but his little body is struggling. You can catch up on his condition at my blog. Please keep praying, thank you!

When I see the pictures, I start to think, "That could be *my* child." It shakes my foundation! I will pray fervently for Trey.

How sad My heart breaks for this family. My little guy (2 yo) is also named Trey. I will say a prayer to my Trey's patron saint, St. John Bosco, for the other Trey's recovery.

Dear Jennifer,
We will be praying very hard for this family. We are in the middle of a parish mission so I will be asking Our Lord in a very personal way for grace and strength for this family especially Trey, his parents and his brother and sister - and a miracle if that is his will.
This is very sad.

I have been remiss in keeping everyone updated on little Trey. He has made it through 5 rounds of chemotherapy--thanks be to God!
Please pray for him today, in 15 minutes he will undergo a 2 hour surgery to remove the only cancerous tumor left in his body. An update from his father is here:
Update on Trey
Please keep this little guy in prayer; he is so brave and has been through so much.
Thank you for your prayers.
