My grandmother died in Wisconsin while we lived in England. By the time I heard the news, the funeral was in 3 days. There was no time for me to go back. And I had 6 children and one on the way at the time. I will pray that all happens in accordance with God's Divine plan.
God bless you and yours!

Again, so many thanks for all of your prayers!!! My dad's surgery has been scheduled for next Wednesday, April 11th. He is to be there at 7:30am but I'm not sure of the exact time of the surgery, I'm assuming once he is checked in and sedated. He will have to do a strict fast and drink that "stuff" for two days prior.
At this point it looks like we will go down there either Monday or Tuesday depending on the dh's work. The outcome of the surgery will determine how we handle the remainder of the week. If all goes well (I guess as well as it can go?) then I will probably stay down there and the dh and dc will come back to Dallas. As much as I want the dc with me, dh wants me to be able to concentrate on my mom and dad....I am very blessed in the dh department
Your prayers are such a blessing for the family and for myself....I know I say that a lot but it is so very true!!!! I'm quite sure if it weren't for all these prayers I would be in a nice, soft, rubber room somewhere
Again, many thanks! and blessing to you all!!!
Therese (who is so amazed that God has chosen to bless our family with such awesome prayer warriors!)

Dear friends,
Please remember to keep my dad, Earl, in your prayers today. We are to be at the hospital at 7:30 this morning. We have not been given a time for the surgery as they will just take him in "when they are ready for him." Others have waited as much as 6-8 hours and then another 4-6 hours for the surgery. We are anticipating a long day in so many ways.
Please pray for a successful operation, as well as a speedy recovery. Please also keep the rest of the family in your prayers for peace. Thank you so much to all of you who have been praying through this journey with us. You have brought us all such peace during these very difficult weeks.
I will try to update late tonight on the outcome.
In Christ,
Therese(who feels so very blessed to be a part of this awesome group!)

Many blessings to you all!!! Just wanted to let you know of the wonderous miracle we experienced today. My dad's surgery went VERY well He did receive the colostomy bag but did not need one for the urine as well, even though the doctors' were fairly certain he would need one. Additionally, they did not find as much radiation damage as they were anticipating, another miracle They were able to reposition things so that if he does need radiation they will be able to pinpoint it to the affected areas. However, the doctor felt things went so well that he is not even sure my dad will need radiation or chemo While that seems extremely optimistic, I totally believe in the miracle of prayer so it is a very real possibility.
Please do continue to keep us in your prayers...for Earl's speedy recovery, for Rita's peace, and for my dh and I that we are able to make wise decisions regarding our visits and our future. Thank you again so very much...I firmly believe without the power of all your prayers that we would not have witnessed the wonderful miracles we did today.
In the Love of Christ,
Therese (who is eternally grateful to you all!)

I want to thank all of you so much for your prayers. Please continue to pray for my dad, Earl, for a speedy recovery. Please also pray for wisdom for the dh and I as we try to discern the direction God is leading us (to move close to my parents, new job, etc).
Wanted to let all of you know that all reports are back. Even though the cancer was found outside of the membrane apparently, they got it ALL. The outer edges of the tissue they removed were all cancer-free. Additionally the lymph nodes were clear also!!!!!
He is still in the hospital but continues to improve day by day. Again, thank you so much for all your prayers....I know it is the prayers of God's faithful that has blessed us all so much at this difficult time.
In Christ,
Therese (who is tired but amazingly overjoyed!!!!)
