SACRAMENTO -- A 36-year-old Woodland man was shot and killed early Saturday during what police say was a botched carjacking on Valley Lark Drive, near Eden View Drive, in south Sacramento.
A passenger in a Jeep Cherokee sport-utility vehicle that was the target of the attempted carjacking died at UC Davis Medical Center after being shot shortly before 5 a.m., said Sacramento police Lt. Gina Haynes.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Jesse Reiter.
The shooting occurred after the driver of the Jeep Cherokee was waved down to the side of the road by someone in another vehicle, Haynes said. A man got out of the car, approached the Jeep's driver and demanded money and the keys of the vehicle, police said.
A gun was fired, striking the Jeep's only passenger, who staggered to the sidewalk, Haynes said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

I just heard that the "service" will take place on Saturday. In a winery reception room. I have no idea what this means 
Please pray for me, this is so odd for me and it is my family
I leave tomorrow, with my oldest dd Flannery, as my companion. We have been abundantly blessed with people buying us first class tickets, and many friends locally and afar offering masses and financial assisitance to me. I am profoundly humbled, and beyond grateful.
