Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This was always my nightmare when I was pregnant with my twins; I can imagine how you must be feeling. I will definitely pray that you are sent help quickly, and that those babies stay in there!

I am praying for your whole family. It's a tough spot to be in with little help.

Ladies, I'm sorry I've not checked back til now....

I'm in the Ft Bragg/Fayetteville area. Mavmamma(I think that is how she spelled it) isn't too far away--maybe 45 min?, but she's out of town right now (a wedding out of state, I believe she said).

I'm not "calling in the troops" til I find out what DHs month is actually going to look like, though....I did spend my vertical time yesterday buying some easy to make (altho not terribly nutritious, sigh) meals in a box for him to make for the family this next week before payday....hamburger helper. Yum. LOL

I've got a ton of stuff in the freezer--unfortunately, it is mostly "you actually have to COOK" kind of things (and I don't have a huge freezer anyway)....so I can't fill it up with frozen lasagnas and things...

Thank you for getting me onto your prayer chains and rosary circles. I know I need all of the help I can get, keeping these two little ones in there. I didn't have any signs of problems at all (after all, the ctx were BH, so I knew that they weren't Preterm labor)..but when they measured my cervix and it was that short...oh my goodness...Well, I'm concerned.

I am trying not to get too upset. It doesn't do me OR the boys any good...guilt? Well, maybe I "COULD" have waited for DH to be home to do a few of the things I did around the house...but then again, who is to say whether not doing those things would have changed anything? Only God knows the answer to that one, and He's sure not telling me. No, no heavy lifting or anything like that--but still, perhaps I could have waited. But, its water under the bridge now. So I can eat, drink, and sleep...and try to maintain the chaos from "mommy central" on the couch...the girls vacuumed, swept, did dishes, folded and put away laundry this mornig after breakfast, while my youngest and I took a shower (had to keep her busy somehow, lol), and then we got our hsing done (altho it was like pulling teeth to get my oldest to do her math without drifting off in to la-la land. SIGH--but that's all the time, not just now, lol).

They ate lunch and are taking naps (yay)...I'm trying to use up some of the things in the freezer just so that we have room for some frozen meals of some sort...eventually. Once DH gets home, I am sure that he will be grilling out or something, which will help alot...and I've pulled out my "Fix it and Forget it" cookbook and found four recipes I think my family will actually all eat at the same time, lol. And I didn't have to buy a whole lot of things to make them (use up what I have on hand first, lol)....

I'm trying to remember that every day inside me is two fewer days in the NICU. Each week is more pounds, better lungs, better brains (altho I have long since been popping the omega threes to work on that anyway). I don't think getting too upset is good for me, or for the babies, and it certainly doesn't help the other dc either...altho maybe if I had a meltdown they'd "get" that mommy really CAN'T do those things....being so young, that's still iffy.

I'll be checking in here probably once a day...

Thanks again for the prayers ladies....you have no idea how much it means to know that there are folks out there praying for me and my family...

Rachel

Strong? Wonderful?

LOL

Oh, I just have had one of "those" days from, well, Dante's Inferno....

I am SOOOO glad that DH is coming home.

I've been making my way thru the day by "DH will be home tomorrow"..."DH will be home tomorrow"..."DH will be home tomorrow"..."DH will be home tomorrow"...

SIGH. Mantra. Got to get that rosary for my novena in this evening, as well as my DMC.

Lord, have mercy on me a sinner...sigh.

Rachel

Rachel,

I have a friend who has a friend at Ft. Bragg. The Catholic Women's group is ready to help. I will pm you. Preparing for deployment will be stressful for all involved so please don't feel badly and use their help.

Rachel,
I"ll be back in NC on the 30th, and ready to help!! At least I am close by and can get food in your freezer.
Until then, I am praying for you and your family--

I just posted on an old thread of yours about twins -then saw it was an old thread and checked out your other posts to find you on bedrest.

Prayers to you. I remember how hard bedrest was. Please take extra good care of yourself and your babies--I eventually ended up hospitalized for 3 weeks. (Yucky-feeling magnesium drip, but it stopped the progression of labor.) By the way, I figure you might be worried about your youngest, so I share that I had a 2 year old child when pregnant with twins--he survived the "neglect" just fine.
