Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So, I just wanted to say "thanks" for being a great group of women! I love being part of *this* world.

Elizabeth's recent post on "For Real" Friends and my experience this past weekend at the Georiga conference led me back to Alice's post.

I can vouch quite honestly and realistically that if there is someone that you have met here or on a blog or somewheres online that you connected with---felt was a 'kindred spirit'---know with certainty that these feelings are not some 'phantom delight.' They are "for real" and incredibly worthy of our time and energy.

I just met a handful of women that I have connected with over the past eight years from the Lit Alive! board, the CCM board, the Catholic Sonlight group, and this message board.

It came as no surprise to me that our conversations picked up as easily as though we were speaking to one another here on the Internet. We began talking as easily with each other as though we were in our individual homes typing to one another. The smiles and the conversation and the soul-bearing and the sharing with friends was made more "real" in the fact we were able to put a face to the blog surnames---but, I think we all realized, that nothing was lost in translation through our cyberspace communication. Nothing at all.

God Bless you all, you wonderful ladies you!!!

Cay, I so enjoyed meeting you and hearing you speak this weekend. Seeing your REAL Catholic Mosaic notebook was so great---and inspiring! I wish there had been more time for us to get better acquainted, but it was so nice to meet you & put a voice and a face and these words together in such a sweet, pretty package! :)

Thank you for coming to the conference! I hope it was very beneficial to you....it was for us!

Sarah

Cay,

It must have been super to meet with your online buddies ! I know that I often feel closer to internet friends - we make time to share. And those I *have met in person, have all been delightful. We skip the niceties and jump right into our discussions.

ahhh....but if I had not had the opportunity to HEAR Cay's wonderful talk, I never would have known what a charmingly rich accent she has! I found myself smiling about it throughout her talk.

We're home and I'm still wading through all the goodies from our welcome bag. I wish you had been able to stay for Saturday. The speakers were very good and the Mass...the Mass was BEAUTIFUL!!! I should be ashamed to admit...but it's been awhile since I've been so moved by the celebration of Mass. (I need to do some searching here nad elsewhere. Surely Fr. Fessio and the Novus Ordo have been discussed before.)

Oh....my Benjamin says I need to apologize for calling him a little cockroach in public. I am only to use that endearing name in the privacy of our home!

It was wonderful to meet you and (part of) your lovely family.

I know exactly what you mean. I've been having my own rambling thoughts about that. Feel free to email me privately.

It made me feel right at home. He's a darling little boy.

Ahhhh you had a Fr. Fessio mass - beautiful isn't it? A sample of what the Novus Ordo is supposed to be like. Changes are coming though - we're moving in the right direction.

So what is different in Fr Fessio's mass? What does Novus Ordo mass should look like?

That's a BIG question and one that is going to take some time to answer. Rather than answer it here I'll start a new thread over at Living Faith.

EDIT: It may take me a while as I have work I need to finish first.

God bless,

That's exactly how it was for me when I finally came face-to-face with MaryM. and Momwise....and then early this June I got to meet MicheleQ and Maureen Witmann -- what a treat! And a true blessing.
