Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

To a wonderful group of moms who inspire, teach, and support others in their vocation of motherhood. I hope you all have a wonderful day. You all will be in my prayers tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day to the bestest mother friends a mother could have!!! Though I haven't met many of you personally, I just wanted to say I love you all!!!

CYBER GROUP HUG!!!

Margaret, we had my Mother's Day luncheon yesterday -- they took me to Asiana, a Korean restaurant here in Cincinnati, after a short pilgrimage to the Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, KY. I think we'll have to do Mother's Day and Father's Day lunches like this from now on -- the day before: NO CROWDS!

Happy Mother's Day to all!

Queen of heaven and earth, arise and be a mediatrix and a solicitor of grace from your gentle child, from Eternal Wisdom.

Ah, Eternal Wisdom, how could you now refuse us anything? I hold the pure, gentle, predestined Mother before your merciful eyes as I present you as Mediator to the Eternal Father. Ah, gentle, lovely Wisdom, look now upon her, behold her kindly eyes which gazed upon you so frequently and lovingly; recognize the fair cheeks which she pressed often and tenderly to your childlike face. Ah, consider the gracious mouth which so often covered you with adoring kisses; consider the pure hands which served you so unremittingly. Ah, gentle Gentleness, how could you refuse anything to her who nursed you lovingly, carried you in her arms, laid you down and lifted you up, and reared you so very kindly?

Lord, I remind you of all the love which you received from her in your childhood days when, sitting on her maternal lap, you gazed tenderly and affectionately at her with your smiling eyes, and entwined your filial arms around her with infinitely more affection than you have for all other creatures. Remember also how, in order to obtain for me the grace to cast aside all impediments, to win your grace and never again lose it, she stood beneath the gallows of your pitiful cross, her maternal heart united to yours with the bonds of intense anguish, and felt her own heart and soul dying with you as she watched your death throes.
