Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How many times a day do you run your dishwasher?

At least once, or it could be 2x, depending on what I cook as well.

She is learning to wash them after every meal. And he is learning to dry.

Once at the most. Sometimes we even get 4 meals out of one load. But we all use only one cup/glass each day. And I encourage the use of napkins instead of big plates for sandwiches at lunch. Oh, and we do all large pots and pans by hand.

Usually twice, but we still have bottles to wash. Sometimes we squeak by with once, and sometimes, if we've been cooking a lot, we run it 3 times.

We run it once a day, unless we're canning (then, who knows? lots and lots). But we usually do a couple of dishdrainers full by hand, because we don't dishwasher pots or big mixing bowls or the colander. Also we have some pretty old dishes that were pre-dishwasher times (things that are very useful because of their size or shape, so we like them, but they are things my mother got on grocery store give-aways in the late 1940s and early 1950s).

Seems to me to be something of a trade-off. The dishwasher is *easier*, but you have to wait until the cycle runs before you can get back your favorite thing to use. Sometimes it's just quicker and simpler to wash by hand.

Peace,
Nancy

Wow Mary Ann! Two dishwashers! Sounds wonderful to me! Although my two little boys who unload it everyday would not like that!! I run mine between 2 and 3 times a day. My appliance repair man (who is great!) once told me that I should do an add for Maytag!

I've been doing it only once a day but suddenly that is not enough. I'm not sure if its the new dishwasher we just got, which may be smaller, or we're just using more dishes.

Thanks for everyone's replies

I don't have a dishwasher. Our dishes get hand washed 3 times a day, sometimes 4 if we've done some baking or extra cooking. There are 6 of us that rotate dish duty.
