Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm trying to make these labels for my misc. school bins but I wanted them somewhat sturdy so I laminated them. Then I thought I could run them through w/ the sticker cartridge so I could just adhere them to the fabric bin. NOO luck. Is that not possible? I have the Xyron 900.

I guess my only other option is to tie them around the bin handles which will kind of get in the way.

Thanks in advance,

I'm not entirely sure, Kathryn. This is one of the drawbacks of the Xyron to me - once something is laminated it seems to resist being taped/affixed somewhere. I have convinced a few laminated cards to remain in place with Scotch brand permanent double sided tape, but it's not the best solution and it seems they come down easily with a bump. My kids loved our sticker-maker to death...literally...so I can't tell you if the sticker maker thing will work. You could try permanent double sided tape. Another option to try for labeling is to use a good, strong clear packing tape and just cut the laminated label smaller than the tape strip. I've done that before as well.

Good luck! I sooooo know about the NEED TO LABEL!!! Definitely NOT PUSHING here...but have you read the thread on label makers? I printed on card stock and used clear packing tape to label everything around here before I got a label maker a few years ago. Boy, does that label maker make a HUGE difference!!!

Well, I guess in my excitement to laminate and sticker everything I forgot my box tape!! LOL I have *always* used my box tape. I just used it to label my plastic bins with Christmas items before they went back in the attic a few days ago. Did I ever confess that I've had this Xyron machine for 5 YEARS and it sat unopened in my closet until I joined this on-line group and found its true calling?! I realized I could laminate too...simply by purchasing the cartridge. And OHH HOW EASY it is! I always thought I never could figure it out.

I also bought a new labelmaker about 2 months ago with some store money I had at OfficeDepot! However, I wanted the letters on these bins to be really big and the one I bought is toward the low end price wise so it's too basic to give me those big labels. I took a quick peek at that thread and loved the Seinfeld photo!    I'll have to read up some more over there. I'm just a laminatin', stickerin', labelin' gal lately!!

Oh! Yes, of course! Bigger labels do require printing, don't they! Well, glad I could jog a memory cell with the packing tape then!

And EXTREMELY GLAD that if nothing else, 4Real has brought you closer to your plastic shrouding machine - the laminator!

How about sticky sided velcro? That stuff sticks to anything --permanently it seems!

I have a small laminator that came with our latest coil punch machine but I haven't tried it out yet. It's a GBC Heatseal H100 and I have no clue what to use it for.
