Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone have sources (links, books) for instructions on how to make 2-dimensional pages, with things like pop-up, moving parts, raised figures?

Jenn -- all I know is to do the figure and then glue an accordion folded strip behind it. Maybe you could check Valentine directions as sometimes they have ideas for pop-up hearts that you could adjust.

Also, anytime you want to have figures move, you can always use those metal "paper fastener" things that you poke thru a hole and then spread the two ends.....

Doesn't Dinah Zike's book on making books have some pop-up stuff?

Oh, Jenn! What fun, I adore pop-up books! I found a few links….

This one is a fairly simplistic instruction, but looks like the basics you need in order to make more complex designs.   This looks like a great site full of information.

I think I saw the author of this book on a morning chat show when it came out… There are a ton of books on Amazon, but I loved the look of this one

Try the search ”how to make pop up books” on the store. Great stuff!

Jenn, our library has a few titles:

Moving art
    Devonshire, Hilary.
Pop-o-mania : how to create your own pop-ups
    Valenta, Barbara.
and
How to make pop-ups
    Irvine, Joan, 1951-
How to make super pop-ups
    Irvine, Joan, 1951-

We used the Irvine book a little, it was very simple but gave directions we could use.

This site Mirkwood designs had a few pop up templates if I remember right. It has a lot of other cute things that can be used for lapbooks/cards too. Please let us know if you find something good!

Thanks for the help..I'll have to take some time to peruse.

I have a little idea for our family rosary. We have a flip easel with the rosary pictures, but I was thinking of maybe making an open-up picture for each mystery, with some movement and "pop-up" for my toddler. He needs some more hands-on for captivation during the rosary.
