Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Thanks for the link, Rebecca! Alice was the person who kindly designed my Carnival of Children's Literature button--she's a sweetheart!

(I always did like that name...)

Welcome Alice! I must say I am positively drooling over your beautiful rosaries at Gardens of Grace. I even ordered a few medals as I just couldn't resist.    I also added your links to my blog page so others can find your treasures as well.

God bless!

Hello Alice and Michele!

Thank you for the kind words, Alice. It means a lot to me. (Especially since I am currently trying to motivate myself to work on another similar project.) Do you know, I have never before met another "Alice"! Did you get that whole "Wonderland" bit all through grade school?

And Michele, Thank you so much for the kind words, the links AND the order! (It is shipping out this morning, by the way. )

God bless you all!

Naturally--LOL! I even played "Alice in Wonderland" in our first grade play, so, needless to say, it stuck.

Like you, I never once met another Alice growing up--many Allisons and Alicias, but no Alice.

I am just getting around to visiting some of your blogs for the first time, and let me just say, it is SO much fun! It’s like sitting down and actually getting to know each of you a little.

Rebecca, Lissa and Alice, I have frequented your beautiful blogs for some time now. But Michele and Nissa, yours are new to me! Michele, you link to so many of the places I love going to! I really enjoy Wise Craft, and Martha Pullen and so many others. And Ottobre design, oh my goodness. I just ordered my first Ottobre magazine a couple of months ago and I cannot wait to try some of those patterns! (And oh yes! I totally love my Catholic Woman’s Daily Planner!!)

Nissa, the photos at the top of your blog are beautiful!! Even though I don’t consider us homesteaders (I wish we were!), we do have a few acres with goats and chickens. I look forward to exploring more of your lovely blog.

God bless,
Alice

Oh, and Alice, I don't suppose your middle name is "Marie" by any chance? Now THAT would be wild.

Blessings,

Thank you so much Alice. Unfortunately, it doesn't look a bit like that outside my window - not a flake to be found We're anxious to get some snow around here and organixe a sledding party. On the bright side, it gives me time to make some more mittens and hats!

I'm thinking about making some nice wool felt ones... What do you all think?

The blog is very new and there's lots missing yet.

Welcome, Alice!! It is so nice to "meet" you! I must tell you I love your book - though as the mother of three boys, I bought it mostly for myself. I am hoping to teach myself how to sew and I am sure your book will be a blessing to me in that endeavor (my winter project)!

I have a cousin named Alice Marie as well--the name goes back two hundred years on my mother's side of the family. Maybe we are related!

There is another "Alice" on this board as well. Alice R., if you are reading this, we want to hear your middle name. : )

Hello Dawn! It's great to "meet" you too! I'm so glad you like the book. My own 3 boys keep asking me when I am going to do a "boys version". In reality, they just want to know enough about sewing to be able to stitch pieces of leather together to hang their various "weapons" from their belts.

Wow! I don't know of any other "Alice Marie's" in my family tree, but I sure am curious about Alice R.'s middle name!

Alice,

I got the medals today. They are exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you! Their arrival timing was perfect. We have had a lot of sadness here lately and it felt like a little gift from the Blessed Mother.
