Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Ladies,

I need a good lasagna recipe. I have a good spinach one but I'm talking about a good, old-fashioned, red sauce, meaty, cheesy, lasagna. I've tried the food network folks. Paula's and Barefoot Contessa's did not quite cut it...either too complicated or too many ingredients.

I have my mom's recipe but my husband, who is by far my biggest cooking fan and usually very positive, does not really like this recipe.

I would greatly appreciate any contributions!

I just make a really good speghetti type sauce (use more spices than normal and thinner) and then layer that and dry lasagna noodles, cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese and repeat.. cover and bake until noodles are cooked.

If you like you can substitute all or some of hte noodle layers for zucchini sliced lengthwise layers.

I use this one, and always get rave reviews and empty plates! The sliced cheese does make a difference, but I only use that for company!    The hot sausage really works it too! LMK if you try it!

The Best Lasagna. Ever.

I second the one Lisa recommended. Made it last weekend but I use mild sausage instead. It is delicious either way!
