Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone made a homemade version of the Flutterby or Rose Garden Hideaways from HearthSong?
I would love to have one of these for my playroom, but the cost is a bit much.
It looks easy enough, but I am the type who needs actual instructions, not just to look at a picture and know what to buy and how to put it together. I wouldn't know how much fabric to buy, or what to make the ring out of.
Has anyone ever made one of these?

Thanks!!

In Christ,

Leocea

I thought I'd add the links so everyone could see what you are asking about, Leocea.

Rose Garden Hideaway
Flutterby Hideaway

I have long wanted one of these also, but been unwilling to spend the money. I have said to myself, I could make this, but I never have.

I would start with a large craft ring like this and massive yards of some sheer material like crepe, chiffon, tulle or gauze. You would need about 2-3 yards per section. Depending on how gathered you wanted it you would need 3-5 sections, I'm guessing.
