Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Ladies,
Does anyone have weight loss program they could recommend for a 14 year old girl. She is my totally non-athletic one (part of the problem). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Suzanne

I don't know just what you're dealing with, but some children more obviously than others.. will put on weight before they change it to bone density. 14 is when girls are putting on a lot of bone density so you'll want to be very very careful with any dieting because of that.. you don't want to trade a bit of weight now for osteoporosis later.

I would require some sort of exercise.. t-tapp for instance is both aerobic and strengthening and only 15 min. a day. Before really looking at changing the diet other than obvious not eating tons of junk.. but I also wouldn't cut it out entirely.. whatever it should be something the whole family could live with so that she's not being singled out to abstain from treats that everyone else is getting.

The Light Weigh. I saw the founder speak at a Women of Grace Conference. She incorporates Catholic spirituality into the program, which was neat.

What about Weight Watchers? They stress healthy eating more than dieting.
