Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 5 yo is learning to write his letters and numbers. He really likes the reminders that RightStart provides when writing the numbers -- I say it once with him and he says them when he writes, and they have really stuck with him.

1: Straight Down
2: Around and Over
3: Around and Around
4: Down, over, and make a 1.
7: Over and down
5: Over, down, and around
6: Around and Around
8: Down like a 7, around like a 6, and then finish
9: Around, and then down.

They aren't rhyming or cute, but he can visualize as he's writing. Anyone have something similar for writing lowercase letters?

I like Handwriting without tears. We use Right Start too.

I don't have all the steps memorized, but I like how HWOT uses "magic c" to form many of the other letters. The downside is that you do the letters out of order, though.

I also like how they do diver letters (p,r,n,m,h,b)

dive down, come up, swim over, and around (for p).. etc.
