Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone else a Crinkleroot fan?

My kids love these books by Jim Arnosky.
Their favorite is Crinkleroot's cove, which I linked above. We also just diid a tour through his nature almanacs. His "Walking in Wild PLaces" is also a popular one around here.

We LOVE Crinkleroot! I just requested several of the books out of the library for this week.

I wish they would be reprinted. They are just so great!

I love Crinkelroot, but I may be getting rid of the books that are now too young for my youngest. I hate to; these books were critical for him (along with Cathryn Sill's All About ... series) as foundational books a couple of years ago. I just hate to get rid of them; they are so great!

It's harder now to release books that were so good for my little guy.

In Christ,

Deborah - perhaps store them away for future generations?

We had great Crinkleroot fun that I posted about. I just can't believe it was 2 years ago.

I believe it is time for us to re-visit Crinkleroot!

Elena,

Its ulikely that I will ever be a grandma..... I would definitely keep them on the "Grandma's Cut" shelf of items I adore if I thought there was a good chance of having grandkids....

In Christ,
Deborah

bumping this thread. Did you see the latest Crinkleroot book?

Crinkleroot's Guide to Giving Back to Nature

It's delightful, and in keeping with the old Crinkleroot series. I was a little worried it might be too strident in being "green" but my fears were unfounded. It's wonderful. The focus is on stewardship, not environmentalism.

I did a more detailed review on my blog.
