Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

we are talking about these books in our book list for 2006 thread............

I am wondering if anyone has read this one:

Five Signs of a Loving Family by Dr. Gary Chapman

I just remembered tonight that I have a gift certificate at the local book store........

which of his books do you like the most?

I loved the orginal Love Languages but the Men's edition because my husband read it! There's no reason why it won't speak to a woman, it's just more geared towards men. I borrowed the kid one from the library and felt that there was a little extra that was good to read, but that I didn't need to own both books. I haven't seen the family one. Guess I'll have to check the library.

we read five love languages and the five love languages of children.... i wouldn't say they were my favorite books, a lot of it seemed like common sense and things we were already implementing in the house. that said, i still keep the books, as *reminders* every now and then. haven't read loving family though so can't compare....
