Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello ladies,

Cfa83's daughter here again. I've posted a bit before but I need help. Fast!

You see, hopefully, on the 28 my mom and I will be in Hawaii! We are going to keep my grandmother company while my grandfather is busy in confrences.

So. I need book suggestions. Lots of them. We will be on a plane almost all day. Loads of time for reading as my mom said.

I'm pretty much looking for anything that's good and clean as I'm only fourteen. I useully overlook bad words, so as long as it's not foul or anything. I've found that some books are really good, they simply have one or two things that I don't care for.

I love novels with a hint of romance, the beautiful kind, like between a husband and a wife.

I love Regina Doman's books, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Rebecca, the Secret Garden, The little Princess and many, many others. I've read a lot of the classics so I've got those down. I love stuff that makes me cry, and I adore well-written old horror ones like Dracula, Frankenstein and Dr.Jekyl and Mr. Hyde.

I'm pretty much looking for contemporary lit.

Thanks!

Pax,

Grace

I love "The Rosary" by Florence Barclay. It is not about a Catholic Rosary. Very romantic and good.

I also really enjoy books by Gene Stratton-Porter. I think my favorite is "Laddie".

I recently read the book "The Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale. Very enjoyable and romantic.
