Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've started a new MEME on my blog, inspired by my ds's love for the miracle at the wedding in Cana.
My favorite miracle
and several of you ladies are tagged!
I'd love to hear from all of you on this one, either on my blog, your own blog, or here!

Theresa, what a beautiful, beautiful idea!!! I am trying to come up with something right now!

BTW, by miracle, I am wondering if family stories of miracles and answers to prayer might be included?

Hmm...I hadn't really thought of it that way. I was thinking more of the miracles that we all know about (or not..)and the reasons why they might particularly touch our hearts, but I guess private ones would be fine, too.
btw, I am still trying to decide on one myself, and am hoping for inspiration from you ladies!

Okay, I've shared the story of my favorite miracle on my blog.

I've never done a meme before...I'm I supposed to tag someone now? How do I do that?

Dawn

Mine is the sun dancing in the sky at Fatima. One of my friends from long ago (she now lives in Puerto Rico) told me that her grandmother saw the miracle in person, when she was a girl. How awesome...two degrees from the Blessed Mother!!! (That was me...you know, like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.)

I have always, always loved the Fatima story and hearing Maria's account of her grandmother's experience just moved me to tears. It's real. Real people saw God's amazing power. There's no denying that He is here, in our time, still acting to help His people come to Him through Mary's intercession.

My second choice is the miracle of Guadalupe, where the Blessed Mother appeared to St. Juan Diego. How lovely that God would think to send Mary to the New World's poorest, to tell them that they are really children of God. My dd has a special devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe...it's pretty amazing to see children feel such devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Great meme.

Beautiful story, Dawn! How wonderful!
To tag someone, just pick someone and write their name at the end of your post with the message that you are tagging them. When they read your blog and see their name, they are considered tagged!
Nancy, can you imagine how wonderful it must have been to have actually been present at that miracle! What a blessing!

Theresa, here my post about an amazing miracle that happened to us 4 years ago.

A needle in a haystack

I think you'll see why I chose that name. Thanks for doing this.

God bless.

That was wonderful, Dawn! As I said on your blog, just what I needed to hear, considering my boat is rocking pretty hard right now.

Here's a question I've been wanting to ask:
What is a meme? And how does one pronounce the word?
(OK, that's two questions. )

An IRL friend sent around an email meme for our local homeschoolers and said that it rhymes with Dream. I still make it sound Hawaiian though, more interesting to me. It is basically a list of questions or a writing prompt, I would say. So one of the latest from Dawn began:
Aprons - Y/N?
Baking - Favorite thing to bake:
Clothesline - Y/N?
Donuts - Have you ever made them?
Every day - One homemaking thing you do every day:

While Theresa's inquired after our Favorite Miracles.

And Theresa, I am going to write that post! It's already written in my head, but just needs to get down on paper!

On paper? How very archaic of you, Alice!LOL! I am still waiting for the technology where we can download to the computer strait from our brains, and skip all that arduous "writing" stuff!LOL!
