Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

It is almost ironic that right after I posted my introduction about my journey in faith my son started popping questions at me. The first one came when we were talking about Pirates. We had a discussion before that you should never pretend to kill some or wish someone is dead when playing with particlar toys(ie pirates, knights ect.) He asked if it would be alright with God if pirates were alive today if we would wish that they were dead. I told him under no circumstances should we wish someone is dead and that God would handle them in his own way. Then he goes on to ask how would we know that God would handle it and would we be able to see what God does. Later that day he asked why he couldn't hear God talking to him and how he would know God is talking to him. Lately I've been having these types of question asked nonstop. That brings me to the question about a book. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a book that I could read with my son (ie some type of bible study), so not only would he get the answers he needed but I could also grow in my journey. Despite my up bringing, I'm sad to say I wouldn't even know where to start to find passages in the Bible to answer his questions. Thanks - Tina

Those questions are great! It shows how his mind works and that he is trying to integrate his faith into his life. Wonderful!
I highly recommend St Patrick's Summer Adventure Catechism. It teaches the faith in story form. My ds (10) really enjoys it and I think it would also be fine for a 6 yo.
I also would get a good Catholic children's Bible and some saint stories. A great Bible to use is the DK Illustrated Family Bible because it appeals to all ages (including Moms!).
But the very best thing will be to attend Mass together. This will spark so many questions, but it will also give you the graces you need to answer them.
God bless you on your journey!

Tina,
How old is your son? That would help me think of some suggestions.
