Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Someone wrote me recently and said they were looking for a blog post I wrote about washing each other's feet at home. I'm pretty sure I haven't blogged that. I did write a column about it but she remembers pictures. Maybe I linked to it? Anybody know of such a post on a real learning blog?

I have this from Catholic Culture that I wrote and this blog post that included our feet washing, though we now do it on Easter when we all get together. ETA: the latter has pictures, including the Flickr slideshow. At the end are some children with cute little feet awaiting their turn.

I just searched blog archives and column archives. I do remember writing about it when my big boys were little. This lady is local (she went to my high school), so I guess it's possible she read it long ago. I'd love to think I wrote well enough that she thinks she saw pictures, but I really doubt it. She seemed sure it was a web thing.

I'm sorry, but this is just entirely too funny...

That's what Suzanne said...
you know how when you have baby brain you can't remember anything unless you write it down? Well, perimenopausal baby brain is when you can't remember what you wrote down.

I find myself googling myself...

Jenn's post is the only blog that I remember with pictures. Can't remember seeing Paddy's twinkle toes. But... we don't want to talk about my brain issues.

I did a post, with pictures, on the washing of feet three years ago on my first blog. In it I linked to Elizabeth's article.

I remember that post! Yours is probably what she was thinking, Louise. Very lovely. This is one of our cherished Holy Week traditions; the children really look forward to it.
