Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please would you share your books and other Fatima resources. I have been reading the children's Windeatt book and the TAN booklet on Our Lady's Peace Plan. But I have no idea of other books to read.

I am hoping to start the 5 First Saturdays devotions too. For those of you who do this - do you keep it going constantly - or do you aim for 5 consecutive months a year?

Marilyn, have you got this colouring book? I highly recommend it.

I think it is always good to aim for continuous 1st Saturdays, because they are so greatly needed. Start with five and if you know this has worked very well for you all, I'd continue.

Hi Marilyn,
I'm not sure if you're looking for books for yourself or for your kids. I asked about Fatima books a few months ago - as soon as I knew I was due in May :) - so you could search the forums for my post. The one that was highly suggested and that I ended up getting was this one. It was a fabulous read! One of the best I've read on marian apparitions, yet.

My oldest dd has a great devotion to Our Lady of Fatima. In fact, she has chosen Blessed Jacinta as her confirmation name. We have a lot of beautiful books on Fatima and the children.

Jacinta by Humberto S. Medeiros and Fr. William F. Hill is a lovely book. It's not a picture book, but S. really enjoyed this book. There are some hidden jewels in this book - Our Lady's discussions with Jacinta on modesty and her courage in suffering for souls to the last.

The Fatima Family Apostolate has some wonderful resources. I've been greatly blessed to meet Father Robert Fox numerous times when we make pilgrimages to The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament. He is a wonderful and holy priest.

Some of his publications you might be interested in are:

Fatima is Forever

Fatima Today - Third Millenium

First Saturdays

The Intimate Life of Sister Lucia

And, some picture books we love!!!

Blessed Jacinta and Francisco - beautiful artwork!

Lucia of Fatima: The Girl Called to Help Change the World adapted by Rose Marie Spafford

Some other books:

Jacinta's Story by Andrea Phillips

Vision Books has Our Lady Came to Fatima by Ruth Hume

I love the Encounter the Saints series and they offer Blesseds Jacinta and Francisco Marto: Shepherds of Fatima

And, of course, the book you're reading right now, which I'll link in case anyone else is interested - The Children of Fatima and Our Lady's Message to the World by Mary Fabyan Windeatt - a classic.

Wanted to mention a good book that is out of print but so worth the find:

Boy with a Mission, The Life of Francis of Marto of Fatima by the Daughters of St. Paul (Encounter Books)

and a couple more I forgot...

Our Lady of Fatima coloring book by Mary Fabyan Windeatt - it's really more of a story book/read aloud than a coloring book, though. I LOVE the coloring book Anne linked to - I'd color that one and read this one!

Our Lady of Fatima by Father Lovasik

Marilyn, we did the Five First Saturday devotional with some friends of ours and we have continued past the first five. Sometimes one of the group misses (being out of town or ill). We made it a special day by going to confession and mass, then later having a meal and prayers for the whole group. It marks the first weekend of the month for us, so we always look forward to it.

Thank you for all the wonderful suggestions. I was looking for things for me - but all the kids suggestions are awesome too. Our family is discussing the Fatima apparitions a lot at the moment - and realizing how important it is to pray for the conversion of our nation.

Thank you again.

I love your list, Jen.

Marilyn, this is Martha's thread. Besides the Walsh book, the story of Fatima written by Lucia is really, really good. Just look for any version you can find.
