Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How many of you have a rosary hung on your rear view mirror?
Why do you hang it? ie...to pray the rosary, as a decoration, to show that you are Catholic etc...
Do you pray your rosary while driving?
I once read that it was irreverent to do so, but I think it depends on why you do it.

Oh, and by the way it's October...a great month to get started saying the rosary as a family if you don't already do so!

We have a rosary on our rearview mirror to remind us to pray the rosary, to show others we're Catholic, to remind the kids in the van that we are Catholic (yes, our children sometimes squabble in the car ). We do many rosaries when we're on roadtrips and sometimes this rosary is the only one handy.

A priest told us once that it was great to pray the Rosary while driving but not to RELY on the Rosary prayers (and therefore Our Lady's intercession) to protect us if our driving was bad

We have rosaries on our rear view mirrors. They were given to us by my dh's great aunt (one of the VERY few Catholics in his family) for that specific purpose. Each time I look at the rosary I pray for Aunt Helen. It is also a visible reminder to me that I am Catholic, and should always strive to actively and visibly live my faith.

We don't have a rosary on our mirror. We do pray the rosary in the car, though, but we use our fingers--God gave us ten fingers for a reason, right ?
