Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Greetings!

As we are trying to do Mass on all Marian feastdays, we are very much more aware of the calendar this year than previously.

Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows (used to be called The Seven Sorrows of Mary). After Mass we reviewed the 7 sorrows and came home and made a large heart brownie. I then had Thomas and Maggie take turns telling me each sorrow as I typed at the computer. I printed these "narrated" sorrows onto red card-stock, cut them out like swords (or funny pencils, depending how you look at them ) and then taped toothpicks to the points. These are stuck in the now-cooled brownie.

Tonight, we'll have each person (we just happen to have 7 people in our family) take a sorrow and pray/meditate for that one tonight.

Enjoy!
