Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi all,
Haven't been able to check in much lately...school is keeping us busy!

Anyway, I have volunteered to take on altar server training for our little cluster parishes. Am I crazy?    Anyhow, does anyone know of any online resources? Or other resources? Thanks in advance for any help!

God bless,
Angela

Angela, we have been looking, too. Trip has been personally trained at our parish (he is the only daily server), but we were looking for a book or some resources. Online searches come up with much undesirable material (usually on scandals or the like ). I found this list of books(Click here) which seems to have something for every server, from Tridentine to today.
There is also some discussion of the duties of a server in this (unfinished) online conversation:

Called to Serve is a little servers book sold by CHC (do I promote CHC enough on this board?). Here's a link:

I have a copy of Called to Serve that you can have if you want. We attend a Tridentine Mass so if he chooses to altar serve I will have to buy a Tridentine training book. PM me if you want it. It may take a few weeks though to get it out in the mail to you as I don't get to the post office very often.
