Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

As our family is really excited at the possibility of hearing Pope Benedict say Mass next spring, I thought I'd share the links to both the ArchDiocese of New York and Washington. Both have press releases and I'm sure will be among the first to post up to date information. We are hoping to get tickets to hear him in Nationals Stadium in Washington. Hope some of the forum folks will be there, too!

We're hoping to attend the DC Mass, too.

My Aunt is a Little Sister of the Poor in the archdiocese of New York.
Wheels are turning in my head, now...

It think this a neat opportunity - wish we could do it. It will be almost 30 years since the time JPII visited the U.S. for the first time in 1979. He visited these same cities that Benedict will visit (though he also included Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Des Moines). I was there as a 13 year old with my family in Washington, DC. It was quite memorable and historic. Good luck to all who can make it next spring.
