I was using a protestant program SL sells calls Learning About God from A to Z with a 5th grader. Its neat because it helps the child to get really familiar with looking up scriptures and just focuses on the names/attributes of God (nothing anti Catholic or even doctrinal).

But it requires several different translations, sometimes more than one a week. Its driving me batty! I expected the differences to be a word here or there, but sometimes the sentence is entirely different. The meaning is the same, but when a child has to fill in the blanks and the sentence is completely different, it makes for a very frustrated child.

Is there something Catholic that does the same thing at a 5th grade level...that is, getting familiar with looking up scriptures, underlining them, understanding the individual scriptures...? I don't want F and L or anything that programmed.
