Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Only about a week away or so... anyone have any plans to celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration?

We're moving. That's OUR Transfiguration this year! New home, new lives (my son will be in Montessori school in the mornings with me (I'll work there), and he'll stay in the afternoon while I'm at training )

I AM looking for some sort of nice artprint of the Transfiguration to be the first thing to hang up in our new apartment - as the theme for our coming year. I've not yet looked - does anyone have any suggestions there?

I would love a literature selection for this day. Any ideas? Also, wouldn't it be great if we had chrysalis' ready to open into butterflies. But alas, I don't. But the milkweed is just past bloom and easy to spot so a nature hike and metamorphosis discussion might be a nice thing for the day.

We have a set of Rosary note cards from Magnificat and we always have the liturgically appropriate card on display. The Transfiguration image is Perugino's Transfiguration (1500). Very traditional. I don't know if the print would be available for sale anywhere. The Magnificat cards are very high quality, but only 5x7.
