Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Is anyone familiar with this book? I'm considering it as a gift to my little boy receiving his First Holy Communion. I still have that saint book sitting in the Barnes & Noble bag just waiting to be returned (I'm so fickle) ...

I don't own a copy but I have seen inside all of this book. It is beautiful as all Patmos books are. I would think it a lovely gift for First Holy Communion.
It is on my wish list....

I have a vague memory to Michele Q owns a copy and recommended it in one of the threads a few months back?

Tina, I haven't seen it but I didn't get it for my own kids because Elizabeth and JennGM mentioned that it follows the Tridentine Mass and we needed a novus ordo missal -- so we made our own!

I have it for my dc First Communion. We highly recommend it. We do attend the Tridentine liturgy however. Sometimes we attend the N.O.-   Either way I think it lovely!

We have it and it is lovely. I'd definitely recommend it for an FHC gift!

Thank you, Mary. You helped me make my decision, though it *does* look lovely.

Molly, you don't think this book would be confusing for a child who attends N.O. regularly?
