Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Dear Macbeth or anyone else familiar with the Superscope - PSD220. This has been recommended by our violin teacher as a solution to one of our daughter's tone problems. The Suzuki CD plays way too fast (she's in book 4) and therefore she is having problems with tones in certain note sequences.

Did you ever invest in this little machine? And was it worth the money? It would beat going into lessons less prepared because lessons aren't cheap either. But if this really won't help solve the problem, then I am not anxious to invest in one. The older sons didn't use it nor does the youngest daughter seems to need it. But...
What is your opinion?

Blessings,
Stephanie

Stephanie, I missed this, but I am not familiar with the Superscope. Usually, when the CD is too fast (all the time...), the teacher makes a slower version during the class time, with comments. Is that not a possibility? Also, Windows Media Player can slow down the replay in the most current version.

Hope that helps!

Unfortunately our Suzuki program leader is not "on the ball". She seldom shows up on time for our lessons, much less taking anything extra on. That is another reason I think I really need to get some help for my daughter. The teacher seems to be passing her regardless of tone, mistakes, etc.

I will try the Windows Media Player. Do you know if this will change the pitch? Then she won't be able to match notes.
Thanks for all the help!
Blessings,
Stephanie
