Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was wondering if you could share your favorite read aloud Ancient Greece book for a 10 year old. We are already reading aloud the D'Aulaires' book of Greek myths.

Thanks!!!

Jackie,

We are really enjoying the Children's Homer. I look forward to hearing other suggestions!

I would definitely pick The Children's Homer as well and add to that Rosemary Sutcliff's Black Ships Before Troy and The Wanderings of Odysseus. These are both beautifully illustrated, excellent retellings of The Iliad and The Odyssey.
