Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Have any of you used Cindy Rushton's book on notebooking? Was it helpful? Did you actually use it? Are you glad you bought it? Could you have done notebooking w/ your kids just as easily w/o it?

Thanks!

Dawn

Dawn,

Someone has lent me a copy at present and I am just starting to read it - I'll get back to your question once I have!

She really introduced the notebooking bug to homeschoolers and should be commended for her hard work. So many people have picked up on this and written about it on the web that her book (I just skimmed the latest edition a few weeks ago) doesn't really offer anything new if you are familar with what is on the web. I remember a time when the only source of information on notebooking was her book. People took her idea, ran with it just as she wanted them to, and now their websites hold most of the ideas in the book.

I concur with andibc, though I have read and enjoyed the Cindy Rushton notebooking book very much. She's VERY enthusiastic, and that's always a nice plus in a resource book! Kind of a shot in the arm, even if you're already familiar with most of her ideas.

Okay, I'm glad to know that I can find what I need to know on the web--I've already spent my homeschooling budget this year and need to really start making use of those free resources!

Thanks!
Dawn
