Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello!

I have been a member of this board and actively reading posts for quite some time now. I pipe in when I can, but am overwhelmed most of the time wondering what I could possibly have to add to the wisdom already here . You ladies have been such a help to me in homeschooling and in life. Anyway, the question I have is for those of you who speak at conferences, how does one go about scheduling you?

The reason I am asking is because we are in the planning stages of next year's curriculum fair here in Dayton, OH. This past spring (2006), we had around 75 families come to our curriculum fair, and that is without any "big name" speakers, just local moms (even me, if you can believe it ). It is growing so much every year! From my understanding, so far we have lined up Dr. Clark of Seton and Rita Munn. We are planning to get a larger venue than last year and expect many more people to come. I would like to get some "real learning" folks here to speak as I firmly believe in a real learning lifestlye. I would love for more people to be introduced to it. It would also be a chance for you to sell any products that you might want to sell.

Along this line, if any of you cannot come, how can I go about selling your wonderful resources at our curriculum fair? I would love for people to be able to purchase "Real Learning" or Cay's "Catholic Mosaic" and other wonderful resources I have found here. The vendors we have at the fair don't always sell these type of book. They are geared more toward Seton/MODG materials. We have had moms show their CHC, Sonlight, Kolbe, and other wonderful materials, but these were for show, not sale.

One final question, is about standard procedure for speakers. Do you all have a set cost for speaking? Do you require us to pay for travel and lodging as well (we do have families willing to host too)?

The specific dates are May 18 and 19, 2007. If you can only make one date, I'm sure we could work something out.    Basically, we are flexible as we are just starting the plans. The firm things are the dates, location, Seton, and a few Catholic booksellers. So if you can help me out --- speakers, vendors, whatever --- I'd appreciate it!

Thanks and God bless,
Christine
