Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My techie question--do I understand the little
envelope icons correctly to mean that new posts are
only in the topics where the icon shows the papers
stuffed in the envelope? So I don't need to click on
the closed-envelope topics, just the "new post"
ones?

OK, I'm figuring this out. After I've been here a while,
reading posts, I can go back to the main
ForRealLearning folder and click "refresh" on my
browser, and that updates the envelope icons so I
can see if there are any new posts. Cool.

i'm going to see how the envelope images are chosen in the code ... try to make sense of it. sometimes, it seems that they are not "right" according to what i've read/haven't read. and, since each of the pages are generated dynamically on the server every time you get it, it doesn't make sense that hitting Refresh would change which ones are displayed.

I've notcied that the board icons are accurate but the topic icons are not. Actually, this is the first topic icon I have seen that is "full." Usually, the topic icons are empty regardless of whether there is a new post. NOw I really am going to clean...

You're right, that doesn't make sense. I realized that
right after I posted--my error.

But I too am seeing a discrepancy between the icons
and unread posts...or maybe I just haven't figured it
out yet? Sometimes it'll show the "new posts" icon
but I've already read everything there.

I love the Active Topics function, though!
