Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yeah, I'm kinda excited myself. "Tractor Guy" is out there turning over my garden patch at this very moment! Man, I love spring!

Me too!! The frost is out of the ground and I am ready to til and plant. I am excited to get peas in the ground. Today I set up my little hot house and we will start planting soon.
Today was so beautiful - we loved being outside playing and I did add in a bit of perennial garden clean up. It just felt so good to get my hands in the dirt.

I'd love to hear what people are planting? Trying anything new or just for fun this year??

Wow! What a neat link! We would like to try some sort of gardening.

I was wanting to do an apple unit because the kids are always saving seeds from their apples to grow a tree.   Then I pooped out on the unit, and when I asked MacBeth, she told me you can't grow an apple tree from a seed of an apple you buy in a store.

Soooooooo, we bought a tree and "accessories" on St. Pat's Day, talked about how an apple represents the Trinity, and now am debating with DH about whether we would be violating our lease by planting the tree in the yard!    Luckily, we have friends around the corner who own their house and the husband is a landscaper, so I'm thinking of begging them to plant it in their yard and let us come visit. It had apples on it already from last year, so we could have some visible results this year.

I'm thinking we'll do something smaller in scale at our house. Strawberries? I'm pretty bad with plants, and was told by a friend you can either have children or plants, not both. Sadly true here....

This is so true here! Especially when pg or with a baby. Each year I have such high hopes, each year the garden goes to the weeds while I deal with my own "little sprouts."

I'm pretty good with a garden. But for houseplants, forget it. The kids say I have a "black thumb"!

Yes! and that's why we have real plants outside ONLY and fake ones inside! ...'cause I figure Mother Nature has a better shot at working her magic if she can actually GET TO the plants!

And, my grandmother always used to say that you can have either beautiful children or beautiful furniture, not both!

Can't wait to get outside when the kids get up!

And thanks, Theresa, for sharing the site...I signed up for the clickschooling group (you recommended on the unit planning thread)...what a great resource!
