Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Everyone,
I bought this book (Linnea's Almanac by Christina Bjork and Lena Anderson) from the recommendation of someone on this forum. I can't remember who right now . I just wanted to say this little book is a gem!! What an enjoyable read!
And then it had me thinking... this would be fun to do with the kids. Each child could produce their own almanac. They would write about their nature discoveries, different nature crafts. How the seasons change in their part of the world. We are located in central Fl. so our seasons are very subtle.
Has anyone ever done this? If you have I would love to hear your ideas. And whomever recommended the book, Thanks a bunch. It has become one of our favorites!! I am going to track the progress of our almanacs on our blog. I just started it so it is VERY bare.
Today we are going to make maple leaf crowns. Our maple leaves are just perfect for this right now!

Kirsten,

I think it was me last Spring. Thanks for posting as I had not ordered it, thinking we were downsizing to go to Austria, but now that we're in the States for the "long haul", I really need to order it!

If I remember right, it was Linnea's Almanac and Elliott's Extraordinary Cookbook -- both are OOP but there are used copies out there!

THANKS for the reminder....
