Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I found a great picture bk yesterday, The magical Garden of Claude Monetin all places, our library.

It was a beautifully illustrated work of Monet's . The story followed a little girl who spent the day in Monet's garden with Monet. He rowed her across the pond and picked a waterlily then took her back to the studio and showed her his work in progress which was of his water garden.

Laurence Anholt, the author has many other titles also, ones on Leonardo, Picasso, Degas, Camille and another on the Impressionists. Beautiful bks

Dear Erin,

I've just looked up these books on the Amazon site and they look great. I might see if my library have them also. They could be a good start to a study on famous artist, which we haven't really appraoched in a big way yet. Majella is the only one who is aware of different painters because I think she is very artistically directed. Thomas only through reading maybe. So these could be a good beginning.

Thanks
Chemai

Oh yes, we love these books! There's also the Katie series by James Mayhew -- inc Katie and the Impressionists, British Artists and
Mona Lisa and various others.
