Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have a couple of threads posted about praying the O Antiphons and decorating with ornaments and O Antiphon houses.

In addition to saying the prayers and singing the verses of O Come, O Come Emmanuel, what activities (if any) do you do each night?

I always scout around the internet this time of year to see what people are doing. I am not very good about planning ahead, and I don't always want to buy or order more stuff.

So, for last night, Wisdom (tied into Word of God), we pulled out the scrabble board and tried to be wise and make words with the most points. That was fun.

Today we have gingerbread house kits to work on... we do that every year for O, Adonai, Ruler of the House of Israel. Makes it easy for me, as Michaels has the kits.

Root beer for Day 3... again, easy.

Sparkling cider for Day 4... playing up the key to the wine cellar/special drink theme

Day 5... Christmas lights drive

Day 6... struggling for this one. King cake?

Day 7... Build Your own Bethlehem craft book I have squirreled away.
Last year for this one we just pulled out old photo albums and had fun looking at how our family has grown and changed.

I would love to hear what other families are doing!

Lovely ideas, Melinda! I'm not as imaginative and creative. We just keep it simple and basic this year.
